Fredericksburg

The most recent addition to the CMG family is the Fredericksburg Branch. Soon after the Richmond location opened, an opportunity became available to expand to the North. This strengthened the Eastern Region by adding available inventory as well as cross company knowledge and talent. By fall 2014, the Fredericksburg branch was up-and-running with an experienced staff to get the ball rolling.

Harrisonburg

Our flagship location! Harrisonburg opened in 2001 as Conwall Building Products. Initially utilizing warehouse space provided by Rockingham steel and a jobsite trailer as an office, the materials division began to compliment the already established Rockingham Steel and Rockingham Redimix companies. By 2003, the name became Construction Materials Group and located a retail store on Waterman Drive, where we continue to serve today.

Lynchburg

In late 2007, we began to notice that servicing the Lynchburg area from the Salem location was becoming increasingly inefficient. As a remedy, a satellite branch of the Salem location was introduced into the Lynchburg market. Renting a small facility and stocking with materials to fill those daily contractor needs made sense to better serve the areas needs. In a short time we recognized the need for a fully staffed branch and put the wheels in motion. By mid-season 2008 the Lynchburg branch of Construction Materials Group was born.

Richmond

Rockingham Steel, a division of Construction Materials Group, has operated in Richmond since 2010. With open floor space and a warehouse intact, it made perfect sense for the retail division to add a branch in Richmond. Spring 2014 marked the beginning of the Eastern Region for CMG as staff was hired, shelves were stocked, and delivery trucks started running.

Salem

In early 2004, as a growing company, Construction materials group noticed a need for a location to complement the existing sister company, Conrock, in the Roanoke Valley. A building was rented and staffed creating CMG’s third location in Roanoke. By 2005, we gained years of knowledge and experience through merger and relocated to the Rockingham Steel site in Salem where we remain today.

Winchester

Construction Materials Group was fortunate to have the opportunity to gain valuable management and staff in 2011 in the Winchester area. As the 5th branch of CMG, Winchester has proven to be a great source of decorative accessories and form rental materials in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. The branch moved to a permanent facility on Lenoir drive in 2012 and continues to thrive.
